A male Sumatran tiger, resident of Indonesia’s tiger breeding centre at Safari Park in Cisarua, about 120 km (75 miles) west of Jakarta, roars in its enclosure. The tiger is one of the 31 kept by the centre in an effort to save the species, whose numbers have been declining sharply in the past decade. Conservationists fear that the Sumatran tiger may become extinct in the next decade. Picture taken October 12, 2002. REUTERS/Supri TO ACCOMPANY FEATURE STORY ENVIRONMENT-INDONESIA-TIGERS
